오늘은 수업관련 내용으로 연수일기를 작성하겠습니다.
오늘 수업시간에는 동물과 관련된 영어표현들을 배웠습니다.
아래에 표현들의 의미와 예를 작성하겠습니다.
Copy cat = A person who does the same thingas someone else
Ex) My sister is such a copy cat. First shebought the same car as me, and now she is applying to my school.
Dropping like flies = dying/giving upquickly
Ex) My roses are dropping like flies in theearly frost.
Hold your horses = wait and be patient
Ex) Hold your horses! I’ll be done in thewashroom in a minuate.
Holy cow! = Wow, I am surprised!
Ex) Holy cow! I can’t believe you ateeverything on your plate.
A little bird told me = I heard something(usually secretive or unknown) from someone(not named)
Ex) A little bird told me that you arethinking of quitting your job.
Monkey see, Monkey do = silly/unintelligentpeople tend to copy each other’s actions.
Ex) Our one-year-old is saying bad wordsnow. I told my husband, “monkey see, monkey do!”
